Our Story

M. Rajeshwari and N. Murugesan began their textile careers in 1993, running domestic home-textile businesses: New Janatha Handlooms (1993-1998) and Tulsi A Tex (1998-2005). As hands-on operators, they managed yarn procurement, dyeing, weaving, and direct sales. In 2005, they founded Merit Creaters and led its expansion into large-scale export job work. Today, Rajeshwari leads as Founder, Murugesan serves as Chairman, and their son Dinesh Murugesan manages day-to-day operations as Managing Partner (meet the leadership team). We operate a 25,000 sq ft facility in Karur with 100 full-time skilled professionals and 1.2 million USD annual revenue. Most competitors in Karur match our scale; we deliver samples in 5-7 days and bulk orders in 30-45 days, with every order handled by a single contact.

Fully integrated production: we own design, weaving, dyeing, embroidery, printing, stitching. Your single contact manages the relationship from sample approval through final inspection to shipping. No agents, no outsourcing partners—all work stays in-house. Direct relationships eliminate inter-vendor coordination delays and third-party markups. Samples arrive in 5-7 days, bulk orders in 30-45 days.

In-house testing lab. Every batch tested for color fastness, shrinkage, tensile strength. Quality gates at each step: raw material inspection, dye testing, print approval, stitch verification before packing. One batch fails inspection, the entire batch stays in production until it passes. Same rigor large ISO-certified factories apply. Cost lower because all work stays in-house.

What we do: Vertically integrated textile manufacturing. We own design, weaving, dyeing, printing, stitching, and embroidery in-house. This means shorter lead times (30-45 days), lower minimum orders (200 units), and direct control over quality.
Who we serve: Retailers, e-commerce brands, private label startups, and corporate gifting companies who need custom home textiles in bulk without massive minimum orders or months of lead time.

Facility & Machines

Main office
Embroidery Building
Warehouse

25,000 sq ft facility in Karur spans three buildings: office/design center, embroidery/stitching hall, warehouse/raw materials. Operating capacity:

  • 100 industrial sewing machines for stitching, hemming, seaming (includes heavy-duty and precision finishes)
  • 40+ weaving looms for custom fabric production (180-500 GSM range)
  • Dye house with 8-10 vats for color matching and batch dyeing (handles 100+ Pantone colors)
  • Screen printing and digital printing equipment (1-4 color and full-color photographic designs)
  • Embroidery digitization station (in-house; revisions processed same day)
  • Testing lab: color fastness, shrinkage, tensile strength equipment

All production in-house. Design, weaving, dyeing, printing, embroidery, stitching, quality testing—no outsourcing. This eliminates vendor coordination delays, quality inconsistencies, and markups that plague fragmented supply chains. One batch fails testing, same team fixes it immediately. No finger-pointing between vendors.

Workforce

100 full-time skilled professionals. Breakdown: design team (CAD + manual sketching), weaving operators, dye masters (color formulation expertise), screen printers and digital print technicians, embroidery digitizers and machine operators, stitching supervisors and line workers, quality inspectors, warehouse/logistics staff. Competitive wages (above regional average). Free transport to work. Workplace safety is not optional: ventilation systems in dye house minimize chemical exposure, safety training mandatory, incident tracking and corrective actions documented. We're undergoing SEDEX audit (Q4 2026) to formalize labor standards we already maintain.

Operations & Speed

  • Lead Times: Samples 5–21 days (standard to complex). Bulk orders 30–90 days depending on customization. Speed comes from in-house control—no inter-vendor delays.
  • Modest Minimums: 200 units per SKU (kitchen, table, baby, bags). Competitors require 1,000–5,000 because they outsource; we own the dye house and absorb setup costs.
  • Customization: Dyeing (Pantone matching, color fastness tested). Screen or digital printing (200+ units). Embroidery with in-house digitization (same-day revisions). All under one roof—zero delays.

Quality & Standards

  • In-House Testing Lab: Every batch tested for color fastness (IEC 60105-B02 standard), shrinkage, and tensile strength. Defects caught before shipment. Same-day fixes—no external QC delays.
  • Environmental Compliance: Dye wastewater treated on-site (zero-discharge). Chemicals stored safely, waste segregated. Industrial-grade ventilation. Environmental permits maintained. We own the dye house; competitors outsource and compromise quality control.
  • SEDEX Audit (Q4 2026): Formal verification of labor practices, environmental management, supply chain transparency, and health & safety. Major retailers (Walmart, Target, Marks & Spencer) require it. We're formalizing standards we already maintain.
  • Direct Relationships: No agents. Your single contact manages production end-to-end. Faster problem resolution, no middleman markups, zero information loss.
